A short walk through the trees brings you right to the lip of a big drop. Stand at the edge and feel the spray — quieter than the roadside falls, and all the better.

We're on the beach at Si'umu, about thirty minutes from Apia over the cross-island road. Call ahead or just turn up — the gate's open daily and there's always someone at the bar. Manuia.
